Direct Connector Ramps

S&B Infrastructure, Ltd. (S&BI) was contracted to provide Construction Management Services for SH 550 from US 77/83 to 0.53 miles east of Old Alice Road.


S&BI performed all work efforts and prepared all deliverables in accordance with applicable/current requirements of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) specifications, standards, and manuals.


S&BI was tasked with proactively managing the development of the project in accordance with the general condition requirements of the bid documents and with certain Construction items, as follows:


  • Provide engineering support and data required for consultation and advisement to CCRMA against defects and deficiencies in the work of the Contractor;

  • Provide engineering required to monitor the Contractor’s progress with updates into daily diary and weekly progress reports;

  • Take measurements and calculate quantities of those items of work accepted to prepare the monthly and final estimates for payment to Contractor;

  • Provide project site observation;

  • Provide observation of all materials and equipment furnished/used by Contractor;

  • Review all shop drawings;

  • Prepare Change Orders;

  • Develop as-built drawings and provide an Engineering Certification of Completion.
